Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has tested positive for COVID-19.
On Tuesday the governor reported his status via his facebook page.
He said he is asymptomatic and has started to self-isolate, according to the governor in a 3:29-minute video he posted while briefing the state on his status.
Akeredolu reported taking the COVID-19 test after getting malaria with advice to those who treat malaria to take the test as well.
“I got confirmation earlier today of a good outcome for COVID-19. I’m asymptomatic, and have no symptoms.
“The great staff at our Infectious Disease Hospital will handle the home care that I am now self-isolating and monitored. I ask that we all stay safe and be well.”
